Welcome to the Nikkari Elementary School Website! I am Carl Sztuczko, the proud principal. We have many things to be proud of at Nikkari. This includes for the seventh consecutive year, Nikkari earning an “A” grade on its Michigan School Report Card. We have also for the seventh consecutive year, made Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP). Our students consistently score well above the state average in their MEAP scores. We continue to be one of the top schools in the area in MEAP performance. Our community partnerships, with groups such as the Gratiot County 4H and Gratiot County Big Brothers-Big Sisters, also work towards improving the lives of our students.
This is my 8th year as principal at Nikkari, my 24nd in education. In addition to principal duties, I am also our district's Special Education Director and Testing Coordinator. I hold Bachelors and Masters degrees from Central Michigan University. I have also completed coursework in Special Education Administration from Grand Valley State University. I am married with two children.
